I am super intrigued by the aesthetic of the Austrian artist Mercedes Helnwein. Her talents move around different disciplines as writing, paintings, photography and film making. In this post I will focus on her fab portraits, where each piece seems to suggest us a story.
I enjoy the fact that each character on her paintings seems to hide a mysterious and somewhat dark secret and of course, the vintage look makes the whole creative project even better.
You cannot deny it – the French artist Alice De Miramon can transform everything she touches into a beautiful, colourful and powerful art piece.
I love how she uses very old vintage papers as a medium to paint over her delicate feminine subjects. She also experiments a lot, paintings on vintage objects or textiles as well. No matter where she paints, you can recognise her “fauvism” inspired touch.
I discovered just a few days ago the amazing works by the Iranian artist Golsa Golchini, and I am super inspired. I love how she mixes classic painting, ready made and street art in a unique and eye catchy way.
Her style is fresh and bright, the colour palette that she uses makes me want to “eat” these paintings 😀
