Design – Phalena Atelier

It took me by pleasant surprise to discover that behind this fab brand was hiding Serenella, an old Academy school mate of mine. I had no doubt that she would be a successful artist, and this is just the proof of what I thought! I am so proud to see her evolution into this intriguing design concept.

Phalena Atelier (by Serenella Tommassini) delivers a series of handmade pieces as jewellery, ceramics and illustration – all dipped into mythical, folk and symbolist stories. The beautiful aesthetic is the “fil rouge” that put all together, and brings us into a magic and mysterious atmosphere.

You can also find her on Instagram.

Inspired – Linden Eller

It was pretty challenging to pick just a few of the pieces of this amazing artist – Linden Eller has an enchanted aesthetic that she express through collages, paintings and illustrations. I like how she can mix these 3 techniques together in a very consistent way.

Below you can see some of the collages of her series Dear Sincerely, but when you have time I will highly recommend you to check all the rest. You can shop her artworks here, and follow her on instagram here.

Alice De Miramon – Layered Art

You cannot deny it – the French artist Alice De Miramon can transform everything she touches into a beautiful, colourful and powerful art piece.

I love how she uses very old vintage papers as a medium to paint over her delicate feminine subjects. She also experiments a lot, paintings on vintage objects or textiles as well. No matter where she paints, you can recognise her “fauvism” inspired touch.

You can also find her on Instagram.

Amy Hastings Illustrations

I love how the UK designer Amy Hastings can transform and give a unique style to each object she touches.

From vintage porcelain ornaments, to bags, shoes and more. Her illustrations have a beautiful and peculiar colour palette, that makes each work so pleasant to the eyes. Along with classic works on paper, she also makes stunning handmade cushions and rugs, such a talent!

You can find her on Instagram and Etsy.

Inspired – Helena Pallarés

So elegant!

I am totally in love with the collage works by Helena Pallarés, I was lucky enough to see her fab works live during The Other Art Fair in London.

She creates minimal colour block portraits using a mixture of illustration and collage, and the result is visually appealing and clean.

You can follow her on Instagram, and purchase her prints and originals here and here.
