Some Of My Works 74

This is the latest series that I am currently working on – is called “Floating Dreamers” and it’s focused on my research on patterns and abstractions.

Floating Dreamers is a series about my constant research on pattern and colour combinations. The title of this body of works is also connected to my fascination for the past, and the necessity to keep it “suspended” in time and space.

I didn’t have time to post all the pieces that I have done, but you can check what is available in my website below. On my Youtube channel I am also posting the work in progress of these pieces, so you can enjoy the process 🙂

Here’s another stack of works done a few months ago from the series “Mongolfiere” (Hot-air Balloons).

Mongolfiere (Hot-Air Balloons) is a sketchbook filled with altered vintage portraits ready to fly. I wanted to imagine the extension of each photo as an imaginary abstract world. Each subject represents a floaty and colourful balloon that walks freely into time and space.

See the whole collection below and let me know what do you think!

This is a mini series created for the Februllage challenge on Instagram, I had so much fun making them 🙂

For this project I used vintage and new paper cuts, combined with acrylic pens and dotty stickers for the decorations. The whole collection is on sale in my website, enjoy!

About the series
“Februllage” is an online challenge organised during February 2021 from the Scandinavian Collage Museum and Edinburgh Collage Collective. The project was to create every day of the month a piece following up a specific daily topic, using your personal collage technique. I wanted to give to this challenge a go, mixing up my decorating style with some paper cut interventions.

These 2 pieces are the biggest one created for my ongoing series “Gentlewomen“. They are vintage portraits on wood panel, but here I just used pens for the whole painting and decoration.

The pictures are both the portrait of the same woman, so I thought to create a “twin” decoration, where patterns are repeated in both pieces with some small variants.

They are available in my website into the collection “Art on Wood“.

This is an ongoing series called “Gli Strappi Sui Muri” (Tears On The Walls), that I am working on.

“Gli Strappi Sui Muri” (Tears On The Walls), is a brand new series about a personal research on memories and “history layers”. I wanted to imagine a wall where our memories (the photo) get slowly covered by time, represented by paper stripes and paint interventions. Every time we look at a picture it changes in time and space, revealing us a new layer. While we grow up, we connect with our memories in a different level, and time erodes them slowly.
