Inspired – Photodido

Photodido is a smart collaboration between the artists Sandra and Geda. Sandra studied in Lithuanian Accademy of Cinema and Theater and graduated from Animated Visual Arts. Geda is a professional photographer and graduate of Vilnius Art Academy.

It’s not a surprise that from these 2 brilliant minds came out this beautiful creative project. Their artworks are a mix and match of collage, installation and sculpture. It looks like that each piece came out from a tiny nostalgic time capsule that recalls a puppet theatre.

You can also find them on Etsy.

Purple Crafts – Yvonne Ellen

Love this style!

The British designer Yvonne Ellen truly love classic fine bone china tableware, but with a special “twist”.

Her shop is full of unique vintage ceramics decorated with more modern and fresh illustrations.

The design combination is just perfect, each piece is full of colours with a unique mix between tradition and contemporary art.

Purple Music – Upside Down & Inside Out

Super fun!

The American rock band Ok Go strike again with a stunning new videoclip, that is incredible and well done. For their new single Upside Down & Inside Out, the band sings into a very special location.

The video was shot entirely in a real airplane flying in a huge, zero gravity simulating parabolas, where the band had to dance and sing acting as everything was so natural and easy.

The reality was quite different, because it took a huge effort to get this final result. If you want to dig into the tech specs of how the video was made, I highly recommend you to read this post.

Carnevale Giveaway – #crochetmaskcollage

New month, new giveaway!

Female portrait with a black mask covering the face.

Self portrait with mask.

Some months ago I had this idea to realize a digital crochet mask to print and wear, using the same style of my signature crochet mask collages. The result is a freaky self portrait that I really enjoyed and so, I would like to make you play with the mask too 🙂

To celebrate the Italian “Carnevale” (Carnival) that will run for the month of February, I wanted to make a masked theme giveaway. The prize is one of my crochet collages that you can find on the gallery below. The winner can choose one of the 6 collages from the Series.

Rules are the follow:

  1. Download the crochet mask template (Black or White version)
  2. Print the template (you can also use it as a digital file if you prefer)
  3. Wear or make it wear the mask (get creative, play the game as you want, no need to make a selfie!)
  4. Share the image result on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter using the #crochetmaskcollage hashtag.

#creativeunblock – The Giveaway

Giveaway time!

GiveAway007

Update – giveaway postponed! It will end on Thursday 17th of December 2015 (I will draw the winners the day after).

I never had the chance to properly express my gratitude to all the  people from around the world that in these last 2 years gave me the strength to not give up. So I think it’s the moment to give you back some love.

I was truly inspired by the last Creative Unblock challenge by The Jealous Curator, where you have to create an art piece and then leave it somewhere in a public space as a surprise for a stranger. Due to security reasons, I don’t feel comfortable to leave somewhere a box or a small letter, but I wanted in some way to participate to this wonderful challenge.

So, here it is my very first giveawayI will draw 5 winners that will receive my past Creative Unblock projects. How to participate? Just write ONE comment below this post.

If you want to keep yourself update on what I do, you can follow me here (you don’t have to like my pages to participate to the giveaway, the comment under this post will be enough!):
