Workshop Live On Daisie

I teamed up with Daisie, a social media app with tons of contents for creative people, for an online workshop that will happen next week. Thursday 20th January at 5 pm GMT I will lead the event “Mixed media collage: my favourite materials.

You can interact with me live asking questions, so you are more than welcome to join me!
To be part of the event, you need to login to the Daisie website. The first 2 weeks are free, so you can enjoy all the contents on their platform, included this event (click HERE to subscribe).

If you cannot make it to the live, you can still watch the recorded version and leave your questions/comments on the chat. I will reply to you and give you all my support.

I can’t wait to see you there!

Paint With Washi Tape – 001

Hi everyone,

it’s been a while! I promise that I will be more present on this platform and post more this year.

I will also start to insert some of my time lapse videos for you to enjoy, as this one 🙂

This is a time-lapse video about a quick tutorial on how to “paint” using the colourful washi tape (rice paper tape).

Enjoy!

Some Of My Works 76

Check it out some other works from the latest series that I am currently working on – is called “Floating Dreamers” and it’s focused on my research on patterns and abstractions.

Floating Dreamers is a series about my constant research on pattern and colour combinations. The title of this body of works is also connected to my fascination for the past, and the necessity to keep it “suspended” in time and space.

On my Youtube channel I am also posting the work in progress of these pieces, so you can enjoy the process 🙂

Some Of My Works 75

After the creation of Gentlemen and Gentlewomen, I thought that I needed to complete this series with a bunch of kids. These are all collages on small round wood panels.

I used acrylic and gel pens over some vintage portraits mounted on the wood boards. As all the adults of the series, even these little fellas are “aliens from the future landed on Earth to teach the good manners to the human species”.

Inspired – Marie Cameron

The American painter and mixed media artist Marie Cameron started this beautiful series, called #morerainbows!, during the pandemic.

Here’s what she describes this creative project:

My #morerainbows! series, which started during the pandemic, was a daily search for connection, hope, wonder and joy in which I embroidered silk rainbows onto found, vintage photographs. I felt the need for all of us to be able to see the rainbows in ourselves, in each other and in our world.

Naomi Vona x Stanley

I have been involved in this exciting collaboration with the brand Stanley, where I had to “dress up” one of their products with a collage.

I never did anything like that before, so it was quite a challenge for me. The collab involved filming a commercial as well, so I was not sure if I could make it at first. I can say that despite the fears,

I am very happy that I tried something new, and also pleased with the final result. You can see what I have made on the video above, I hope you enjoy it!

Inspired – Photodido

Photodido is a smart collaboration between the artists Sandra and Geda. Sandra studied in Lithuanian Accademy of Cinema and Theater and graduated from Animated Visual Arts. Geda is a professional photographer and graduate of Vilnius Art Academy.

It’s not a surprise that from these 2 brilliant minds came out this beautiful creative project. Their artworks are a mix and match of collage, installation and sculpture. It looks like that each piece came out from a tiny nostalgic time capsule that recalls a puppet theatre.

You can also find them on Etsy.
